Pae tamariki

Description: On the 31st of July the schools kapa Haka group went to the regent to do pae tamariki. pae tamariki is a performance that shares passion for Maori culture. Four primary schools participated in it. We got to See what other schools did in there kapa Haka.

Here are videos of us

Big idea: At Pae Tamariki, I felt... A bit nervous even though I had done the songs a million times.

I felt most proud of… making the school proud and doing myself proud.

I found not being in the front challenging because I used to be in the front a lot but this time I wasn't.

I managed this challenge by smiling my hardest so I wouldn't be known as the grumpy girl in the back.

At Kapa Haka, I next want to... Be able to mange my challenge so I can work on other things

Feedback/feedfoward
Aria you did really well even though you were nervous next time you could smile even more through all the songs

Passion projects

MkjjgjOn Thursday afternoons we are all split into 3 different groups pop art, drama and passion projects. I am in passion projects. Passion projects is when you create somthing that you are passioninte about. We do it every Thursday afternoon from 1:40 to 3:00. We had to find what we were passionate about.

I am passionate about traveling so I choose to make clothes from around the world. I am making a purple kimono. I have been doing some researching about some kimono patterns and pictures. I have got some kimono material and ribbon to make it with. I get my inspiration from cherry blossoms.

Feedback/feedfoward:
You have been working very hard, and a kimono is such a good idea, next time you could make things from lots of different places, not just Japan, but you have worked so hard.b

Evaluation: I have been having a bit of trouble on doing the sewing bit, but I have been getting a lot of planning through. I think I am going to get it finished.
